My background in movement started with ballet as a child, but it was through martial arts—Taekwondo and Karate—that I developed strength, discipline, and control.
As a pianist and piano teacher, I’ve learned to notice the small connections in the body and how they influence movement. But years at the piano also led to an occupational hazard—persistent back pain.
In April 2022, I took my first Pilates class, searching for relief. What I found was a way to reconnect with my whole body, build strength, and, most importantly, enjoy a pain-free everyday life. That’s what Pilates gave me, and I wanted to deepen my understanding even further.
During the summer of 2024, I started my teacher training with Everybody Pilates under Amy Kellow, with guidance from Faith Clements here at Limhamn Pilates. Learning more about Pilates has been an exciting process, and I love discovering new ways to apply it to daily life.
My teaching style in Pilates is much like in piano—patient, detailed, and focused on building a strong foundation. I believe in small but meaningful progress, helping people to find control and confidence in movement.
